PRODUCT MARKETING
MANAGER |

| Illusions Online is
a software solutions provider for the travel industry and is currently going through a major expansion phase resulting in the need to recruit
highly qualified and driven candidates within the Product Marketing Group.
|
| JOB PURPOSE |
|
|
Preferably based at IOL headquarters in Dubai, UAE, the Product Marketing Manager
will report to the CEO. He/she will be responsible for product strategy and all product marketing functions to drive and support product
sales and define market needs for all the products. |
| JOB
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OBJECTIVES AREAS |
|
|
Develop all elements of product messaging including value
propositions, positioning, and key messages for all market segments |
|
Create product marketing materials (collateral, data sheets,
technical white papers, demos, brochures, case studies). |
|
|
Ensure that the sales team and distribution partners have
effective tools (presentations, scripted sales demos, etc.) to position and sell the company's products to the various business stake-holders
of prospective clients. |
|
|
Ensure effective launch, rollout and knowledge transfer for all new
product developments and programs. |
|
|
Identify and propose product development requirements &
opportunities based on customer, competitor & market analysis, and also technological advancements. |
|
|
Develop, submit & manage a consolidated product marketing budget for
all Illusions offices worldwide. |
|
|
Identify and prioritise key marketing programs and industry events;
plan and execute in conjunction with corporate marketing to deliver the appropriate messages, and drive leads to maximise sales effectiveness
from these programs/events. |
|
|
Be the primary product spokesperson for all PR, sales engagements,
and marketing events with industry experts, trade press and at industry events. |
|
|
Act as a primary, detailed hands-on expert, champion and thought
leader for all products. |
|
|
Review the product pricing annually for each market segment, and
recommend the most sustainable pricing for all sales offices and partners. |
|
|
Drive the functional and technical developments of all
products. |
|
|
Act as the primary owner to define and drive the marketing
requirements document (MRD) definition. Perform strategic research of the competitive landscape, market dynamics, competitive products and
technologies, gather and synthesise customer, sales and services feedback. |
|
|
Regular interaction with the Development Centre to ensure the
product functionality is being developed according to the market requirements/needs and that key milestones are being met. |
|
|
Assist in the creation of detailed product and technical
specifications for Engineering. |
|
|
Regularly interact with the Development Centre to ensure the product
functional and technical requirements are being developed according to the product specifications. |
| CANDIDATE
PROFILE |
|
|
The ideal candidate should: |
|
|
Be educated to degree level in a technical discipline and preferably
also holding a MBA |
|
|
Have a minimum of eight years' experience in product
marketing. At least four years' should have been in Technical Marketing/Product Management in a software company, preferably with thin
client/smart client/Web-based infrastructure products. A prior experience in sales/presales would be advantageous. |
|
|
Have a solid experience and understanding of ERP systems, functional
and technical experience within the travel industry is a bonus. |
|
|
Preferably have a hands-on understanding of .NET and other Microsoft
tools, platforms and technologies for ERP as well as experience of relevant Web/Java/.NET, client server, smart client and thin client |
|
|
Understand key processes, systems, workflows and technologies |
|
|
Possess strong customer management and relationship skills with a
direct experience of working with clients, implementations and a clear understanding of client needs relative to ERP (existing client
relationships in travel a plus). |
|
|
Possess superior analytical skills and rich technical skills |
|
|
Be a self starter, motivated, committed and energetic. |
|
|
Be willing to travel. |
|
|
Possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills in

DEVELOPMENT (1) |

| 4 yrs - 6 years of
experience in the IT industry out of which at least 1 year in the capacity of a Sr. Programmer /Team Leader. Test on ASP.net / SQL Server
will be conducted.

| Responsibilites |
|
|
Designing the system as per the client specifications |
|
|
Prepare the project plan under supervision of the Project Manager. |
|
|
Allocate the task to the resources allotted to the project.
|
|
Guide and train the project team about the project as and when required. |
|
|
Ensure the timely and quality delivery of the tasks assigned. |
|
|
Continuously monitoring the progress of the work and keep mentoring the project
team. |
|
|
Keep interacting with the overseas offices , clients as and when required |
|
|
Coding as per the project design as found necessary or as assigned y the Project
Leader. Code should be readable, maintainable, efficient and well documented. |
|
|
Carry out unit testing of the codes written. |
|
|
Travel to the overseas locations for the project development and
implementation. |
|
|
Guide and train the documentation team to help them create necessary documents for
the office as well as client use. |
|
|
Reporting the tasks accomplished to the project manager and to the clients (if
required). |
|
|
Keep a log of the project team member's performance. |
|
|
Conduct the performance appraisal of the team members. |
|
|
 |
PROGRAMMERS (5) |
| |
|
| 2+ years of experience in programming in ASP.net, VB.Net and SQL Server
2000 (hands on experience of in at least one of the technologies is a must). Knowledge of Crystal reports and XML will be an added
advantage. Test on ASP.net / SQL Server will be conducted. |
| Responsibilites |
|
|
Ensure the timely and quality delivery of the tasks assigned. |
|
|
Coding as per the project design as assigned by the Project Leader. Code should be
readable, maintainable, efficient and well documented. |
|
|
Carry out unit testing of the codes written. |
|
|
Interact with the overseas offices , clients as and when required |
|
|
Travel to the overseas locations for the project development and implementation
work. |
|
|
Guide and train the colleagues as and when required. |
|
|
Guide and train the documentation team to help them create necessary documents for
the office as well as client use. |
|
|
Reporting the tasks accomplished to the project leader and if required to the
clients. |
|
|

SOFTWARE SUPPORT PROGRAMMERS
(2) |
|
|
|
1.5+ years of experience in programming in ASP, ASP.net, and SQL Server 2000.
Test on ASP.net/SQL server will be conducted.

| Responsibilites |
|
|
Ensure the timely and quality delivery of the tasks assigned. |
|
|
Coding/debugging as per the clients requirement, revised project design
and as assigned by the Project Leader. Code should be readable, maintainable, efficient and well documented. |
|
|
Carry out unit testing of the codes written. |
|
|
Interact with the overseas offices , clients as and when required |
|
|
Travel to the overseas locations for the project development and
implementation work. |
|
|
Guide and train the colleagues as and when required. |
|
|
Reporting the tasks accomplished to the project leader and if required
to the clients. |
|
|
 |
TESTER (4) |
|
|
|
1.5+ years experience in development and testing of software developed using Microsoft technologies like ASP, ASP.net & SQL Server. Coding
experience on ASP, ASP.net, and SQL Server is desired. |

newly developed applications. |
