There are fundamentally 2 things that you will need to access your Illusions environment – One is an internet connection – available in your office (we hope), all good hotels and even some second rate café’s too. The other is a Browser, be it Microsoft, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome – you name it. Once you have these 2 things in place, you can access your back office from anywhere in the world. So picture this; you’re in London at a major trade fair and a hotel gives you a fantastic rate that you want to tell the whole world about NOW! Why wait until you get back to the office in a weeks time, go to your room and put the offer into the system and upload it. It will appear on your site in real time – you may actually have sold a dozen of the specials by the time you return to the office.

How are services defined and are they different to hotel bookings?

Services are all the little bits and pieces that ultimately fill in the gaps in the hotel bookings such as transfers, sightseeing and excursions, meet and assist services and entrance fees for museums etc. These services are kept separate from the hotels database as they are require their own set of parameters and attributes such as operation days rather than nights as in hotels, and generally the charge type is very different to a hotel room.
