About RAAS Hotels

RAAS Jodhpur

RAAS is Jodhpur’s first boutique hotel. Our signature look was born from the fusion of modern and ancient styles and the courtyard has become a tranquil haven within the bustle of Jodhpur’s old town.

The hotel comprises four original buildings with three additional contemporary structures, influenced by and contributing to its cultural past as part of the Walled City. The new buildings are modern and contemporary in their use of space and light, and yet grounded in tradition. Indeed, each of its structures is adorned with intricate architectural carvings in the iconic Haveli style of the 18th century, juxtaposed against modern designs and patterns. Jodhpur’s red sand-stone unites the new with the old, as modern designs add an exciting and fresh dimension to the region’s age-old stone carving industry. The magnificent pool, along with the staff quarters and guardhouse, makes a stunning entry to the hotel.

RAAS Devigarh

Much more than just a place to stay, RAAS Devigarh sets a template for next-generation India. Nestled in the Aravalli Hills under an hour away from Udaipur, the 18th-century palace is an outstanding heritage property which looks to the future. Responsibly updated, eco-minded, and environmentally conscious, it smoothly meets the needs of the modern traveller, whilst remaining a stunning testament to the beauty, charm, and magic of old-world Rajputana.

Holding a commanding position with views out across the valley and the village of Delwara, Devigarh showcases an array of decorative styles and tranquil landscaped gardens. Minimalist interiors are polished and comfortable and beautifully juxtapose the ancient, ornate backdrop.

Enter a world of Marwari horse murals, mirrored ante-chambers, courtyards, arches, turrets, swings, marble bowls of flowers and, come night, a thousand candles and stars.

RAAS Chhatrasagar

RAAS Chhatrasagar has a very diverse bird life around, comprising of over 200 species. And the guests can enjoy bird life from close quarters almost everywhere in the camp. From inquisitive green bee-eaters and iridescent blue kingfishers to flocks of shoveler ducks, the camp life is nothing short of magic for birding enthusiasts.

Luxury tents have always been an important part of Rajput lifestyle. Constant campaigns in far flung lands meant long stays in tents under inhospitable conditions. Tents were the only luxury available and soon these “homes away from home” evolved into mobile, mini-palaces. RAAS Chhatrasagar captures the essence of this romance.

The new tents are larger, sound-proofed, generally more solid structures with a tented effect. They are modern, with soft muted colours, Jodhpur stone, teak furniture and sky lights; understated but gorgeously chic and refreshing. They have air-conditioning and heating so the camp will now remain open all year – one of only a couple of tented camps in India to be open year round! A new walkway / approach to the tents allows the enlarged tents to have sitouts both front and back and also more privacy, whilst retaining their idyllic views. There’s nothing quite like sitting on your verandah here, with a good book, sipping a chilled glass of something, and being rewarded with glorious, uninterrupted views and virtually no sign of habitation.
